Lenovo : 22 hours of battery life

It isn’t hard to tie back the ThinkPad machines to business men in suits, since the brand marque already had such an illustrious history way before Lenovo acquired the IBM computing division. Slick and sexy weren’t words that one would usually associate with the ThinkPad line, and that hasn’t changed all that much. But while that may sound a tad negative, the other thing that hasn’t changed about them happens to be their reputation as solid, no-nonsense business machines, which goes without saying, is a remarkably good thing.

Lenovo have further extended the existing line of ThinkPad machines with four more new models – the T410s, T410 and T510 laptops and the W510 workstation – and fully intend on continuing the ThinkPad legacy with them.

“ThinkPad laptops are built for business with the performance, portability and wireless capabilities users need and the manageability, reliability and durability IT departments require. These latest enhancements in processing speed, battery life and wireless technologies help users work faster, longer and smarter.” — Khoo Hung Chuan, Country General Manager, Lenovo Malaysia.

Amongst the enhancements that were mentioned include a whopping 22 hour battery life (available with the use of a 9-cell battery), and a wireless connectivity option via a 3G module from Qualcomm Gobi 2000 ensure that road warriors get unprecedented mobility. Being connected to the grid indefinitely may or may not be a good thing, but with these machines, at least you’ll get the opportunity to decide that for yourself.
