Lenovo : 22 hours of battery life
March 16th, 2010. Published under My Internet. No Comments.

It isn’t hard to tie back the ThinkPad machines to business men in suits, since the brand marque already had such an illustrious history way before Lenovo acquired the IBM computing division. Slick and sexy weren’t words that one would usually associate with the ThinkPad line, and that hasn’t changed all that much. But while that may sound a tad negative, the other thing that hasn’t changed about them happens to be their reputation as solid, no-nonsense business machines, which goes without saying, is a remarkably good thing.
Lenovo have further extended the existing line of ThinkPad machines with four more new models – the T410s, T410 and T510 laptops and the W510 workstation – and fully intend on continuing the ThinkPad legacy with them.
“ThinkPad laptops are built for business with the performance, portability and wireless capabilities users need and the manageability, reliability and durability IT departments require. These latest enhancements in processing speed, battery life and wireless technologies help users work faster, longer and smarter.” — Khoo Hung Chuan, Country General Manager, Lenovo Malaysia.
Amongst the enhancements that were mentioned include a whopping 22 hour battery life (available with the use of a 9-cell battery), and a wireless connectivity option via a 3G module from Qualcomm Gobi 2000 ensure that road warriors get unprecedented mobility. Being connected to the grid indefinitely may or may not be a good thing, but with these machines, at least you’ll get the opportunity to decide that for yourself.

Tripod Bannana :)
March 15th, 2010. Published under My Internet. No Comments.

We fell in love with the Joby Gorillapod from the very moment we saw how the grappling tripod rubbished the notion of tripods needing to stand on solid ground to produce stable shots. Promising not to monkey around (heh), the Gorillapod uses a unique combination of 360 degree rotating balls to help grapple your camera around virtually anything with a grip strong enough to ensure a stable shot every time.
Available in various sizes to suit your weapon of choice, the Joby Gorillapod’s are now being distributed in Malaysia by Futuromic AV Sdn Bhd and will retail from RM68.00 for the smallest model that’s suitable for compact cameras, all the way up to RM368.00 that will let you go bonkers with your SLR.

Apple iPad
March 9th, 2010. Published under My Internet. No Comments.

During the announcement of the iPad in January, Apple mentioned that the much awaited tablet will be released at the end of this month. Well…not anymore.
Instead, the release date has now been confirmed and set to April 3rd for customers in United States, according to a statement released by Apple today. The Wi-Fi model will lead the release schedule while the dual Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity model will be released towards the end of April.
International customers from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK will also received their iPad in both flavors around late April. As for Malaysia, we have no news on the subject whatsoever. Sorry eager fans, you just have to play the waiting game for now.

Kesan Dari Radiasi Telefon Bimbit

Hasilnya seperti berikut:
15 minit – tiada apa yang berlaku.
25 minit – telur mulai panas.

Solar-Powered Puma Phone
February 20th, 2010. Published under My Internet. No Comments.

Some of us might be a little bit young to remember Sagem (http://www.sagemwireless.com) mobile phones but back then, it was quite easy to spot them around town. While the brand has now slipped into obscurity in our market, the French telco company are actually doing fine in its home continent of Europe and has just unveiled their latest device – the Puma Phone.
Scheduled to be released in April 2010 throughout greater Europe, the smartphone is the brainchild of Sagem and the well-known sports lifestyle company Puma (http://www.puma.com). In a glimpse, it may look just like any other touchscreen smartphone out there – minus the Puma logo, of course – but turn it around and you will see a set of solar panels integrated directly to its back for fast battery charging.
While the solar panels has added a touch of sleekness to the phone, they are only able to churn out enough power for 15 minutes of talk-time or two hours of music playing for each hour under the sun. Clearly, it is not able to replace your normal phone charger but we reckoned that it could be quite useful during emergency moments.
So far, there is neither official price for it nor any dates for releases outside of Europe. Check out more key features of the Puma Phone right after the break or at its official website (http://www.pumaphone.com).

Window Phone 7
February 19th, 2010. Published under My Internet. No Comments.

It is time to say farewell to the Windows Mobile brand as Microsoft has unveiled their latest phone operating system – the Windows Phone 7 Series – earlier this week at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona. As you can see from the screenshot above, the new OS looks nothing like its predecessor, hence the new name.
Gone are the mundane tiles on Windows Mobile 6.x desktop and it has been replaced by funky looking GUI called “Metro” which has striking resemblances to the interface used on Zune HD. The new OS is also pretty heavy on social networking in which users can actually check out real time updates from their Facebook friends directly on the OS’s Start screen. Not enough with that, Microsoft also equipped the new OS with Xbox LIVE games and Zune media services for gamers and also, music lovers out there to enjoy directly on their device.
It is still quite early to say how good the OS is going to be in reality but fear not, quite a number of manufacturers such as Dell, Garmin-Asus, HTC Corp., HP, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and Qualcomm Inc. already stated their commitment to build Windows Phone 7 Series hardware. Unfortunately, it is going to take a while before you can experience the new OS yourself as the first batch of Windows Phone 7 Series devices will only be out towards the end of this year.
Check out more of the Windows Phone 7 Series hotness, right after the break or at its official website (http://www.windowsphone7series.com/).
